As shown in this copy of a catalog reprint, these were available in the 1920 for use on the bare bulbs so common then. These rested directly on the bulb. All offered here are original old shades which have their original fitters and new heat resistant gaskets.

NOTE!! These shades will ONLY work on fixtures whose bulbs aim straight down. They will NOT WORK on bulbs which are angled even slightly because the shade rests directly on the bulb. The flame shaped bulbs work best as the sides of the shade do not touch the bulb.
